We are seeking an Environmental Adviser / Scientist to join us, ideally in our Taunton office, but we are open to considering applicants from elsewhere in the UK. We will also give consideration to part-time working where a suitable candidate applies for the role. There is strong potential for career progression within an ambitious team.ResponsibilitiesSupport and assist in the delivery of project environmental objectives and targets.Assist the EIA and environmental management teams by conducting environmental planning reports, EIAs and environmental management studies and audits.Manage environmental and sustainability issues.QualificationsIdeally, a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Management, Environmental Impact Assessment, Environmental Science or Environmental Planning accredited by the relevant professional body (CIWEM, IEMA or RTPI).Ability to demonstrate capability as an Environmental Advisor.Knowledge of EIAs, environmental management studies and audits; experience in analysing and presenting data using a geographic information system (GIS).General knowledge of ecology, flood risk, town planning or water resources would be beneficial.Additional informationAs we look to diversify and grow our wider Stantec UK business, opportunities may arise across our diversified business lines.Stantec is a global company with more than 32,000 employees in over 450 locations across 6 continents.
