What you’ll be doing as Event Director Leading Breakbulk Europe on strategy, planning, delivery, publicity & ensuring financial budgets are achieved. Leading weekly progress meetings & reporting up to the Senior Leadership Team. Delivering internal strategy work through collaboration with the Portfolio Director & Heads of Ops, Growth & Marketing Working side by side with the Head of Growth to ensure that all revenue targets are hit & trading updates are accurate & timely. Managing the delegate registration & client engagement processes. Overseeing direct reports in Operations, Marketing & Project Management & coaching them consistently to be goal oriented & working to their potential. Contributing thoughtfully to the overall strategy as part of the Event AAA Leadership team & being a role model the company culture & values. Displaying thoroughness & detail about customer experience from prospect through to event execution. Being constantly curious & staying informed on industry trends & engaging with the larger event industry. Who you are A seasoned professional with proven experience in event management & project delivery. A confident manager of multi £m budgets & forecasts. Able to demonstrate laser focus on delivering financial success & great customer experiences again & again. A seasoned, empathetic leader of multi-disciplined teams both on & off projects & a natural collaborator with matrix teams An optimistic, low ego & self-aware driver of change who is focused on making human connections. Strongly able to engage & influence at a senior level & deliver difficult messages to all levels constructively. Organized & detail oriented - the detail always matters. Agile & able to multi-task – change happens every day & you will need to be comfortable pivoting to & prioritize different projects. Smart & quick learner who is highly curious & comfortable in a fast-paced, high growth, entrepreneurial environment.
