About the role
The Natural History Museum is widely regarded as one of the most prestigious event venues in the world and is renowned for its premium level of service and delivery. As an Events Sales Manager, you will join the Venue Hire team at the Natural History Museum. This team strives to maximise revenue-generating opportunities for venue hire events and filming, engaging a wide range of corporate and private clients.
Working as part of the Venue Hire team the Events Sales Manager is responsible for maximising sales of the public spaces for events and filming, meeting ambitious sales targets as part of a dedicated team.
Reporting to the Senior Sales Events Manager, the role will include: taking initial enquiries, preparing proposals, conducting site visits, converting business, preparing contracts and invoices, attending events and supporting operationally, building ongoing client relationships and ensuring the events database is kept up to date. The Events Sales Manager also contributes to the sales and marketing strategy and delivery of the business and marketing plans. This role includes evening and weekend work.
About you
The successful candidate will be highly organised with significant experience in the event sales. A pro-active approach and high levels of attention to detail and interpersonal skills are essential for this role. Knowledge and experience of the events industry and working with suppliers would be beneficial. The successful candidate will also have the ability to build key long-lasting relationships with clients, remain calm under pressure, be a creative problem solver and work independently whilst part of a tight-knit team. We are looking for an individual who is a team-player, loves a challenge and a fast pace environment.

Hybrid working
