Overview

Are you a foodie who enjoys live music and has experience selling exhibition space and sponsorship packages? Our client runs a leading food and music festival in the UK and is looking to hire a talented events sales professional to join the team. You will work on exciting events with industry-leading chefs, food stalls, DJs and music artists.

The Role

Reporting to the head of commercial partnerships, you will be responsible for selling exhibition space for the events to both existing and new business. You will also create bespoke sponsorship opportunities for brands to invest in. You will have latitude to develop new revenue-generating ideas in collaboration with the marketing team to grow both sales revenue and, in conjunction with ticket revenue, overall event revenue. There is potential to progress from sales executive to event director within 3–4 years.

You will work with a fantastic team and may have opportunities to develop and launch your own event ideas. There are no barriers in this role for the right person.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sell exhibition space for festival events to both new and existing clients.
  • Create bespoke sponsorship opportunities for brands.
  • Generate new revenue ideas in collaboration with the marketing team.
  • Support and collaborate with colleagues and senior leaders to drive sales and event success.

Qualifications / Profile

  • Strong background selling exhibition and/or sponsorship packages.
  • Initiative, proactive, and able to work independently.
  • Self-sufficient, motivated, resilient, determined, and able to handle objections; capable of meeting tight deadlines.
  • Strong planning, organization and time-management skills.
  • Assertive team player with excellent interpersonal, communication, and diplomacy skills.
  • Resilient with problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Experience in new business generation and key account management.
  • Ability to transfer between major account management and proactive outreach to smaller clients.
