Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Events Executive to join our Marketing team. The role can be based from either our Leeds or Newcastle office.

You'll be experienced in organising B2B events and you'll play a key role in supporting our Events Manager to deliver the a wide range of events. This would include firmwide events, webinars, seminars, external conference/exhibitions, professional dinners and corporate hospitality. You'll provide support across all our five offices; Birmingham, Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle and Teesside. The role will therefore require some travel and the occasional overnight stay.

Responsibilities

  • You will support our Events Manager to deliver the firm's annual event programme, managing independently all stages of event delivery, including pre-event planning, logistics, on-the-day support and post-event follow up.
  • Confidently liaising with our internal stakeholders, fee earners, suppliers, speakers, clients, and venues to ensure seamless event delivery.
  • Coordinating logistics such as venue sourcing, catering, AV requirements, delegate management, travel and accommodation.
  • Managing event communications, including invitations, RSVP tracking within our CRM system, reminders, and post-event feedback.
  • Working with our Marketing team to promote events through the firm’s digital channels, including social media, newsletters and partner websites.
  • Preparing event materials such as name badges, signage, handouts and PowerPoint presentations, ensuring accuracy and brand consistency.
  • Monitoring event budgets, supporting financial tracking, and processing supplier invoices.
  • Maintaining accurate records, project plans and event evaluations, providing regular reports to the Events Manager.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience of events coordination, ideally gained within a professional services or a corporate environment.
  • Proven experience in successfully delivering B2B events, with excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You'll be comfortable in communicating with stakeholders at all levels across the business and externally.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong administrative skills and attention to detail, with a commitment to high-quality outcomes.
  • A high level of proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word) and experience of using CRM and mass mailing systems.
  • Familiarity with webinar platforms and digital event tools.
  • An understanding of the role events can play in business development and reputation building.
  • Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings and to travel to different office or UK locations when needed.
  • A driving license, and access to your own vehicle.
