Join to apply for the Finance Associate - GM&C Trading role at Sainsbury's. This role is based out of the Coventry Store Support Centre & Home; colleagues go into the Coventry office 2 days per week on average.

Responsibilities

• Support the accounting, forecasting, reporting, and collection of supplier income for the GM&C Trading division.
• Produce weekly reports on funding aged debt and engage with Commercial teams to ensure compliance with supplier funding accounting processes.
• Drive improvements in reporting accuracy to enhance trading performance; perform key reconciliations and support period-end processes.
• Collaborate with Finance teams to maintain strong relationships and address issues promptly; bridge communication between trading teams and Argos Trading Finance.
• Contribute to external and internal audit processes and identify opportunities for process enhancements and strategic alignment within the Supplier Funding team and wider organisation.

Who You Are / Essential Criteria

• Demonstrable ability to analyse financial data and extract key business insights (e.g. trends, variances, drivers).
• Proficiency in Excel and data manipulation tools; ability to use formulas, pivot tables, or data models to support financial analysis.
• Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders across functions; evidenced through collaboration or cross-functional project involvement.
• Clear and confident communication of financial insights to both finance and non-finance audiences.
• Proven attention to detail in financial reporting or analysis tasks; ensure accuracy in data inputs, reconciliations, or reporting outputs.
• Preferred (but not essential) to be studying, or planning to study, towards a professional accounting qualification.
