Finance Manager – SSE Renewables, Glasgow, Scotland, United Kingdom

Base Location: Flexible, based in one of our key UK or Ireland sites (e.g., Glasgow, Perth).

Salary: £50,100 - £75,100 + related bonus + benefits.

Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible First options available.

About SSE Renewables

SSE Renewables is the UK and Ireland’s clean energy champion with a growing presence internationally. The role is part of the Renewables Finance team, focusing on the onshore wind joint venture portfolio across the UK and Ireland, with responsibilities spanning Financial Control and FP&A, month end, external audit liaison, and budgeting/forecasting for JV boards.

You will

  • Deliver accurate month end, half year and year end financials;
  • Prepare monthly management accounts reporting to JV shareholders;
  • Attend monthly management committee meetings and present finance updates at quarterly board meetings;
  • Coordinate the annual budget cycle and provide financial inputs for annual business plans;
  • Develop strong working relationships with joint venture partners;
  • Coach accountants and finance analysts.

You will have

  • A professional accounting qualification with up-to-date IFRS knowledge; experience in practice or industry; ability to deliver operational excellence in Finance;
  • Strong analytical thinking, influencing and communication skills for senior stakeholders; build relationships through trust and respect;
  • Ability to manage competing deadlines across internal and external stakeholders;
  • Experience in leading and influencing others through coaching, mentoring and management.
