We\'re looking for a logical thinker with great attention to detail who will thrive in a fast-paced private equity backed finance function. Someone with a solutions-oriented mindset who let\'s curiosity drive them. You\'ll love to take initiative. \"How can I add value?\" will be a phrase you\'ll find yourself saying in response to most problems. You will create innovative solutions by diving deep into our stakeholders\' challenges and translating these into modernised ways of working.
This role enables you to problem solve proactively by analysing problems and thinking critically. You\'ll have the full support of an experienced team around you, so whilst being self-starter is important, we value collaboration and communication for continued team success.
What you\'ll be doing
- Ownership of the month end reporting cycle including posting and reviewing journals (accruals, prepayments, salary journal etc) alongside preparation/review of Balance Sheet and P&L reconciliations.
- Management of intercompany transactions ensuring accurate reconciliation across group entities.
- VAT Return review.
- Managing and updating data across our Netsuite platforms (PO\'s/expenses/P&L entries).
- Management and oversight of the transactional finance function including line management responsibilities for transactional finance staff.
- Pension and Payroll Liaison with our external provider.
- Leading role in both audit and year end processes.
- Review of Client MI and PO reporting.
- Working with client teams to ensure accuracy of timesheet information.
- Working with the wider leadership team on commercial discussions and key projects.
- Forecasting alongside the account management teams.
- Policy documentation and process review relating to Finance.
- Monthly budget variance analysis and monitoring of spend and quarterly budget review.
- Monthly departmental analysis for feedback to the operations board.
- ONS reporting.
Why you?
- Fully qualified in a professional accountancy qualification - CIMA/ ACCA/ICAS/ ICAEW.
- Experienced in management accounting, reporting and month end principles.
- Proven ability to review financial data meticulously, ensuring the accuracy of billing statements and customer accounts.
- Experience with NetSuite is highly desirable and considered a strong advantage.
- Experience in consultancy services would also be considered valuable.
- Confident collaborating with both Senior and Non-Financial Stakeholders.
- A proficient user of Excel.
- Skilled at mentoring and giving constructive feedback.
- Demonstrates a strong work ethic with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
- Reliable self-starter who goes the extra mile to get the job done.
