We are partnering with a PE-backed telco/broadband provider that has recently merged and is scaling rapidly as it integrates its operations. With strong investor backing and ambitious growth targets, the business is seeking an interim Financial Controller to strengthen its finance function and ensure robust reporting, processes, and controls during this critical stage.

The Financial Controller will take ownership of the finance function, overseeing month-end, reporting, and controls while driving improvements across systems and processes. This role is both hands-on and strategic, requiring someone who can provide financial leadership, ensure rigour, and deliver actionable insight to senior management and investors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee the finance function, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of financial reporting
  • Manage month-end close, consolidations, and preparation of management accounts, board packs, and investor reporting
  • Strengthen financial controls, processes, and systems to support growth and integration
  • Provide financial insight to support commercial and operational decision-making
  • Lead forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow management, ensuring alignment with investor expectations
  • Drive efficiencies, embed best practice, and improve processes within the finance team

Requirements

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with proven experience as a Financial Controller
  • Strong track record in fast-paced, high-growth, or PE-backed businesses
  • Hands-on approach with the ability to manage both detail and strategic oversight
  • Strong financial reporting and control expertise, with excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Proactive, solutions-focused, and able to deliver improvements in a dynamic environment
  • Immediately available and able to commit for 3–6 months
