I have partneredwith a distinguished company in the luxury residential and development sector, known for its bespoke craftsmanship and innovative designs. As they embark on an ambitious international expansion, particularly into the U.S. market, they are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to spearhead their financial operations. This pivotal role is instrumental as they embark on a transformative journey of process-driven, international expansion, with a significant strategic focus on penetrating the overseas market. As a Senior Finance leader, you will play a key role in supporting the CFO to strategically expand the business footprint and diversify their industry presence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting & Compliance:Deliver timely, accurate monthly management accounts, statutory filings, and regulatory submissions in accordance with local regulatory requirements for all Group companies.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting:Lead a 3-year strategic financial plan, annual budgets, and quarterly re-forecast processes.
  • Cash & Working Capital Management:Optimise the cash conversion cycle, oversee treasury activities, and maintain robust liquidity forecasting.
  • Business Partnering:Provide actionable insights to functional leaders; drive cost optimisation and ROI analysis for growth initiatives.
  • Controls & Risk Management:Maintain a strong control environment, champion a SOX-lite framework, and embed risk management practices company-wide.
  • Systems & Process Transformation:Execute Finance Roadmap milestones (ERP enhancements/migration, AP automation, analytics tool roll-out) and lead the onboarding of the overseas subsidiary accounting processes.
  • Team Leadership:Coach, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team; promote a culture of continuous improvement.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a leadership role ideally in project-based manufacturing, construction, or similar industries
  • Demonstrated capability in implementing finance systems and managing multi-entity, multi-currency financial operations.
  • Strong competency in revenue recognition and financial compliance.
  • Exceptional leadership abilities with experience managing small teams and external contractors.
  • Outstanding communication skills, capable of conveying complex financial information clearly and persuasively.
  • Strategic thinker with a robust commercial acumen, ready to take on challenges and drive business growth.
  • Ambitious to progress their career as the company expands.
