Overview

Financial Controller / Finance Manager / Head of Finance required to join a global engineering manufacturer.

Responsibilities

  • Lead full P&L and balance sheet management, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
  • Reporting to the Nordics, Mediterranean, and Distribution Commercial Controller, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the financial operations.
  • Oversee general ledger, month-end closings, reconciliations, and audit preparation.
  • Lead and mentor one team member whilst taking on ownership of additional financial duties.
  • Provide financial analysis, margin reviews, and weekly sales/order reporting.
  • Hybrid working – 2 days remote, 3 days on site in Chester.

Package / Benefits

  • £55,000-£60,000 depending on experience

Requirements

  • Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with financial controlling experience.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, financial modelling).
  • Experience with SAP and/or SAGE 50 accounting software is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication, organizational skills, and ability to work independently.
  • Experience closing and managing the full P&L and balance sheet management.
  • Remote working plus being commutable to the site in Chester 3 days a week.
