We’re currently looking for a Financial Planning & Analysis Manager on a full time, permanent basis. This position sits within the Finance and Operations, Finance department. It can be based from home or in either of our London or Glasgow offices. This role is available on a full time permanent basis to deliver financial planning and analysis expertise to ACCA's UK and global operations.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and improve revenue models required for detailed budgeting and regular forecasts.
  • Own the Budget Module in D365, setting up budget headers, codes and tables before budgeting and forecasting process, uploading revenue budgets and forecast to D365 including ad hoc adjustments.
  • Lead and develop a financial model capable of converting strategic targets to country/city level operational information around exams.
  • Build engagement between key operational strategic target teams, change programmes, Group Finance and operational delivery teams to ensure clear and timely sharing of information.
  • Lead and engage the business to develop and implement key exam driver analysis models to support forecasting/multi-year projections.
  • Lead and ensure accurate and timely rolling forecasts are maintained for exam delivery and production costs to support Directors to deliver within budget assumptions.
  • Work closely with ACCA change delivery teams and Customer Service to ensure the impact of exam changes are cascaded through the strategic targets and delivery teams.
  • Keep revenue models up to date after establishing a clear understanding of how change program deliverables will impact revenue projections.
  • Respond to ad hoc requests for information.
  • Perform ad hoc analysis and produce value-adding insights.
  • Contribute and help deliver the finance strategy.
  • Take responsibility for best practice research, recommendations and implementation.
  • Prioritise and identify improvements and cost efficiencies for exam delivery and capacity across centre networks.
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities and lead delivery of such improvements.

Qualifications

Knowledge

  • Qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CA, etc.) with a strong analytical mindset and experience with best practice financial modelling.

Skills

  • Strong communication skills and ability to present confidently and credibly.
  • Gravitas to build strong relationships, and the confidence to guide and challenge Senior Management.
  • Able to articulately recommend informed decisions within Finance and to the wider Senior Management community.
  • Strong numeracy and analytical skills to interrogate and present data meaningfully.
  • Excellent Excel and PowerPoint knowledge.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks under tight timelines and work under pressure.
  • Proactivity, strong time management and prioritisation.
  • Self-motivation and continual improvement mindset.

Experience

  • Experience of working as a business partner in large and/or multinational organisations.
  • Experience of developing complex financial models from base assumptions.
  • Ability to work across multiple systems to source relevant data needed for analysis.
  • Ability to manage a wider range of stakeholders with differing levels of understanding and knowledge of exam forecasting.
  • The role may require undertaking reasonable duties in line with organisational needs.
