This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Financial Reporting Manager to join a well-established, matrix organisation to oversee and manage all aspects of financial reporting within the accounting and finance department. This role requires a strong understanding of financial processes, specifically in line with FRS102.

Description

  • Manage a financial reporting team of 4 and effectively lead them through a period of growth and transformation
  • Overall accountability for monthly and quarterly reporting deliverables in line with tight deadlines, including managing the balance sheet and cash flow, as well as submitting the IFRS reported figures
  • Work closely with the Finance Manager - Management Accounts to ensure that the end-to-end reporting cycle is completed, reported, and reconciled in line with month-end timelines.
  • Lead the reconciliation and review of the balance, ensuring reporting is in line with accounting standards and principles and appropriate backup is maintained and filled.
  • Validate the appropriate balances in respect of accruals, prepayments, provisions, and related charges with full supporting documentation, ensuring the integrity of the balance sheet is maintained.
  • Propose, develop, and implement a suite of monthly actuals reports to aid understanding and decision-making across the business with respect to Capex and Property Leases

Profile

A successful Financial Reporting Manager should have:

  • Professional accounting qualification (either ACA or ACCA) and ideally come from a practice background
  • Experience in financial reporting
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards, specifically FRS102
  • Proven ability to lead and manage a team effectively
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in accounting software and financial systems
