VIVO embodies both experience and innovation.OverviewThe Financial Reporting Manager will play a critical role in ensuring the financial integrity, compliance, and performance of VIVO through effective management of financial reporting, treasury, and control processes. This position provides technical leadership across accounting, reporting, and process improvement activities, ensuring alignment with IFRS and supporting continuous financial excellence across the organisation.ResponsibilitiesManage all treasury operations, including rolling cashflow forecasts, understanding billing cycles and cash receipts, and maintaining relationships with the central treasury function and banking partners.Maintain the fixed asset and lease registers, ensure appropriate capitalisation governance, accurate depreciation and amortisation, and compliance with relevant accounting policies.Oversee VAT returns and CIS reporting with outsourced providers, ensuring accuracy and compliance across balance sheet reconciliations and payroll control accounts.Manage costs associated with new bids and mobilisation, ensuring correct accounting treatment and allocation to contracts, while providing financial insight to support growth and control.Coordinate external audits, statutory financial reports, and shareholder audits; support compliance with Companies House and other regulatory bodies; engage external advisers on tax, pensions, and technical matters as required.Maintain robust accounting practices in line with IFRS; provide guidance, training, and support to Senior Finance Business Partners and the wider business to embed best practice and drive continuous improvement.Lead and develop the Purchase to Pay (P2P) team, drive accuracy and efficiency, optimise the offshore P2P model, and enhance cost efficiency and operational performance.QualificationsQualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with a minimum of three years’ post-qualification experience.Strong technical expertise in IFRS accounting, treasury management, and statutory reporting.Confident communicator, strong problem-solver, and ability to engage with senior stakeholders; advanced Excel skills; familiarity with SAP or similar ERP systems.Location & TravelHybrid role, with one day per week at Ingenuity House in Birmingham and regular travel across the UK to support VIVO leadership and operational teams.What We Offer25 days annual leavePrivate medical cover for self and partnerCompany car or car allowanceBonusLife assurance 2x annual salary1 x paid professional subscription annuallyAbout VIVO Defence ServicesThe role you have applied for is with VIVO Defence Services, a joint venture between Serco and EQUANS.
