About the Role

Eaton Syalon, in exclusive partnership with one of the East Midlands' leading employers, is seeking a technically adept Accountant to join as a Financial Reporting Manager. In this role you will collaborate with our client's senior team, take ownership of reporting financial results within group financial control, and focus on month‑end reporting and statutory reporting at half‑year and year‑end. The position offers excellent insight into external reporting requirements, direct exposure to senior management and opportunities to expand your technical expertise and build productive relationships with senior stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Completion and submission of group consolidation adjustments
  • Monitoring and reviewing business submissions and completing integrity and validation checks
  • Completing commentary pack for onward submission to Group FP&A
  • Serving as the business point of contact within the team
  • Reviewing and challenging business inputs, and leading balance‑sheet reviews
  • Supporting the quarterly reporting process
  • Working with the wider Group Financial Control team and businesses to ensure all external reporting requirements are met
  • Forecasting group consolidation adjustments and providing commentary for any deviations against prior forecasts
  • Identifying, suggesting, and implementing process improvements, including system changes (HFM), process changes, improved documentation, and control
  • Supporting businesses in the development of their reporting and understanding, including sharing best practice across the businesses

Candidate Profile

  • Professionally qualified accountant with related finance experience
  • Capable of building effective working relationships with a diverse range of individuals and teams
  • Committed to service delivery with a structured approach, able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Passionate about developing yourself and others professionally
  • Able to distil and simplify complex data and information
  • Proactive with the ability to prioritise and work under minimal supervision
  • Highly organised, flexible and resilient

Employment Details

  • Salary: £60,000 - £75,000 per annum + Bonus + LTIP + Enhanced Benefits
  • Hybrid – 3 days on site per week
