Overview
We are seeking a talented and driven FP&A (Financial Planning and Analysis) Analyst to join our team. The FP&A Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting the finance department by providing accurate and timely financial analysis, insights, and recommendations. You will have the opportunity to work with cross-functional teams, collaborate closely with senior management, and contribute to the company's strategic decision-making process.
What you will be doing
- Financial Planning & Budgeting: Collaborate with business stakeholders to develop, maintain, and analyse financial forecasts, annual budgets, and long-term financial plans. Ensure accuracy and integrity in financial models and reports.
- Financial Analysis & Reporting: Perform in-depth commercial financial analysis of revenue, expenses, and profitability drivers to identify trends, risks, and opportunities. Evaluate financial performance against key performance indicators (KPIs), write succinct & focused commentaries, and ensure reports are accurate, timely, and provide actionable insights into business performance.
- Variance Analysis: Monitor financial performance against budget and forecasted targets. Prepare comprehensive variance analysis reports, highlighting key drivers of variances and providing insights to improve financial performance. Create monthly rolling forecasts.
- Strategic Decision Support: Assist in evaluating commercial business initiatives by conducting profitability analysis, and scenario modeling. Provide decision support to senior management through data-driven recommendations.
- Finance Business Partner: Collaborate closely with various departments (Operations, Sales, Marketing, etc.) to provide financial insights, support cost optimization initiatives, and drive operational efficiency. Act as a finance business partner to foster collaboration and ensure financial goals are aligned with overall business objectives.
- Process Improvements: Continuously assess and improve financial planning and analysis processes, systems, and tools. Utilize automation and data analytics to streamline reporting, improve accuracy, and enhance overall efficiency.
What you will bring
- Newly qualified/Passed Finalist CIMA / ACCA / ACA (or equivalent)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial information and provide actionable recommendations.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with financial management platforms (e.g. ERP systems, data visualization & planning tools) is preferred.
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment, managing competing priorities and meeting deadlines.
