FP&A Analyst

North Manchester Hybrid – 2 days per week in the office

We’re partnering with a PE‑backed business that’s flying doubling in size over the past few years and now closing in on £500m turnover. With serious backing from top‑tier investors and a leadership team that knows how to scale, this is a business with both commercial bite and genuine purpose. This is a brand‑new role in a growing FP&A function, giving you visibility across the group and the chance to work side‑by‑side with senior leaders. You’ll get stuck into budgeting, forecasting, and financial analytics, helping shape decisions in a business that’s moving fast and thinking big.

If you’re curious, data‑driven, and ready to grow, this one’s got your name on it.

It’s an exciting time to join a business investing heavily in systems, automation, and leadership development, creating clear progression routes within finance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver insightful month‑end reporting and performance analysis, turning data into clear, actionable insight.
  • Build and refine financial models to track key KPIs, performance trends, and progress against targets.
  • Take ownership of budgeting, forecasting, and reforecasting cycles, driving accuracy and alignment across the group.
  • Partner with senior leaders to explain financial results, identify opportunities, and support commercial decisions.
  • Lead the ongoing automation and optimisation of reporting processes using tools such as Power BI or Cognos.
  • Work closely with the Business Intelligence team to enhance dashboards and ensure data integrity.
  • Produce high‑impact ad‑hoc analysis to support strategic initiatives, acquisitions, and site expansions.
  • Challenge and streamline existing processes to improve the speed, quality, and consistency of financial reporting.

What We’re Looking For

  • Part‑qualified or finalist‑level (CIMA / ACCA / ACA) or equivalent experience.
  • Strong Excel and modelling skills able to turn complex data into meaningful insight.
  • Commercially curious, with a drive to understand the story behind the numbers.
  • Confident communicator who can build relationships across finance and operations.
  • Experience with BI tools (e.g. Power BI) or system automation would be an advantage.
