The Role

You will be the crucial link between the finance department, various business units and races within the Championship. You'll be responsible for budget control, forecasting, and providing essential financial and business analysis to support decision-making. The key deliverables are:

  • Cross-functional Business Partnering: You will be the main point of contact for financial matters for your assigned business areas. This will be accomplished by building strong relationships with department leaders, attending their meetings to understand business drivers, and offering proactive financial advice to help them achieve their goals while ensuring financial discipline.
  • Dashboard Reporting and Variance Analysis: Create and maintain dashboard reports that track performance and highlight key metrics. You'll deliver this by developing automated reports that show budget vs. actuals, explaining any significant variances, and presenting clear, concise summaries to key stakeholders to help them understand their financial position.
  • Financial Forecasting and Budget Control: Provide accurate forecasts and manage the budget for your assigned departments and races. Undertake ongoing analysis of financial data, collaborate with department heads to understand their needs, and use forecasting models to predict future financial performance.

What we're looking for in you

  • Exceptional Analytical and Technical Skills: Analytical skills to dissect high volumes of financial data, from transactional details to high-level summaries. This is paired with technical accounting knowledge and a solid understanding of accounting principles.
  • Strong Communication and Presentation Abilities: Excellent communication skills to effectively translate complex financial information. You'll need strong verbal, written, and adaptable presentation abilities to deliver insights to various stakeholders, from department heads to senior management.

This is a hybrid role and you'll be required to do 3 days a week in our Hammersmith London office
