Role Summary

As a Geospatial Consultant, you will support multidisciplinary projects across Water, Energy, Earth, and Environment. You will mainly work within the Environmental Consents team, preparing and managing data for Climate Change Adaptation, Renewable Energy, Transmission & Distribution, Resilient Infrastructure, and Water Management initiatives, largely through Development Consent Orders (DCO) and Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA). Your work will directly support project delivery across all stages, ensuring high quality, timely, and client‑satisfying outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver GIS deliverables, spatial analysis, and data management using ArcGIS Pro and ETL tools.
  • Champion digital project delivery via innovative web‑GIS platforms (ArcGIS Online and Enterprise).
  • Maintain data integrity by managing data capture both internally and from third parties, including designing local and enterprise geodatabases.
  • Produce GIS outputs that meet established standards, scope and budget while ensuring exceptional quality.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand needs and deliver tailored geospatial solutions.
  • Share knowledge and innovations to strengthen the GIS team’s technical capabilities.
  • Help shape efficient working practices that deliver industry‑leading, best‑value services to clients.
  • Provide GIS expertise across the business wherever required.
  • Commit to continuous professional development to stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies.
  • Travel occasionally to other offices for business development and project meetings.

Qualifications

  • Strong grasp of GIS principles and data management across sectors.
  • Understanding of the DCO process and GIS support for EIA, routing, siting, screening, and scoping.
  • Proven experience in Esri ArcGIS Pro, Enterprise, Online, and Mobile Apps.
  • Experience configuring ArcGIS web applications (Experience Builder, Dashboards, 3D Scenes, Survey123, Field Maps).
  • At least one scripting or ETL skill: Arcade, Python, JavaScript, or FME.
  • Strong relational database skills with File Geodatabases.
  • Customer‑focused approach to quality and service, identifying value‑add opportunities.
  • Self‑motivated, proactive in developing new skills and keeping up to date with technology.
