We’re looking for an experienced GIS strategic thinker with a proven record of effective delivery. Our ideal candidate will combine a strong drive to modernise with a passion for improving the environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support the GIS Manager and Senior Team Leader as one of two technical leads for the team.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the EA, DEFRA and external partners to evolve Geospatial Services.
  • Coordinate delivery with service leads to ensure joined-up, well-managed, modern corporate geospatial services.
  • Work with tools including Easimap, in-house GIS view and query tool, ArcGIS Pro, EAMaps (ArcGIS Enterprise service) and manage access to ArcGIS Online (AGOL).

Team and Tools

The National GIS Team provides Geospatial services and leads their use within the EA. We support a broad set of tools to deliver a modern suite of corporate services for users.

Experience/Skills Required

  • Experience of delivering Enterprise Geospatial Services.
  • Evidence of ability to set a strategic direction and coordinate tactical delivery.
  • The ability to work with a wide range of customers and partners.
  • Experience of working with ESRI products.
