Graduate Ecologist

New Yesterday

Society is in your hands, what are you waiting for?

We are currently looking for a talented and motivated Graduate Ecologist to join our team on a 6-month fixed-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in ecological consultancy. The role is hybrid, typically requiring at least 3 days in the office or on site.

What does the role involve?

As a Graduate Ecologist, you will undertake ecological surveys, including habitat surveys and surveys for legally protected species. Responsibilities also include report writing, liaising with clients, contractors, and the public to assist with land use and ecology points for BREEM assessments. You will produce habitat and survey plans and carry out Ecological Clerk of Works duties.

What do you need?

You should hold a degree in Ecology or a related subject. You might be a recent graduate or have some experience from another organization. The position can be based in Edinburgh or Glasgow, but travel to sites and other offices is required, so a full driver’s license is necessary.

Due to the nature of the work, you may need to work outside regular hours, such as night surveys for bats or early morning/evening site visits for reptiles and mitigation.

What’s in it for you?

You will experience an inclusive, friendly, and flexible working environment that encourages growth and development. This role offers a chance to help transform society by being a trusted consultant to our clients.

If you believe you have the required skills and are eager to join a business offering genuine career progression opportunities, we would love to hear from you.
