Graduate Hydrogeologist (Birmingham, Reading, Manchester, London, Glasgow) – Jacobs
Join the Jacobs Graduate Development Programme (GDP) and be part of a structured two-year scheme designed to support your development at the start of your Jacobs career. You will work in our Water and Environment Business Unit, focusing on River Engineering and Flood Risk Management solutions, and will join a national team of hydrogeologists working on a range of projects for utilities, local authorities, and major infrastructure providers.
What you will do
- Join a national team of hydrogeologists and work across engineering hydrogeology, water resources and sustainability, land quality and remediation, environmental hydrogeology, permitting and legislation.
- Contribute to projects for clients such as water companies, local authorities, Network Rail, National Highways, Environment Agency, SEPA and other major infrastructure providers.
- Assist with a variety of tasks, including assessing sustainable abstraction to meet environmental flow targets, designing and undertaking pumping tests, groundwater control for excavations, and groundwater impact appraisals for wetlands/peatlands.
- Benefit from on-the-job learning and support to grow in areas of your interest; work with your manager and mentor to collect meaningful learning experiences.
- Work on meaningful projects and collaborate with industry leaders to deliver outcomes for complex challenges.

- You must have the permanent right to work in the UK.
