Opportunity and responsibilities
Jacobs is a market leader in the transportation sector, working with major clients such as National Highways, Transport for Scotland, Transport Infrastructure Ireland, Heathrow Ltd, Environmental Agency and the Welsh Government. You will receive on-the-job training using the latest software tools and analysis techniques and work on a mix of projects from concept through construction to handover into operations. Responsibilities include assisting and supporting colleagues in the preparation of road safety assessments and audits, collision and casualty analysis, and scheme reports to enhance road network safety across the UK. There may be opportunities to work on overseas projects in Ireland and the Middle East. You will contribute to projects across national strategic infrastructure, urban developments and specialist sites.
The start date for this position is September 2026.
Qualifications
- Be working towards a Degree or Master’s level qualification in Transportation, Civil Engineering or Geography
- A flexible self-starter who is keen to drive your career forward
- Adaptable to change, with a thirst for learning
- You must have the permanent right to work in the UK
