Associate Trainee Recruitment Consultant – Financial Services (Accountancy Focus)

We’re working with a leading specialist recruitment firm (with a brilliant culture) who are looking to hire an Associate Trainee Recruitment Consultant. This is a fantastic opportunity for either:

  • A recent graduate who’s ready to kickstart their career, OR
  • A second jobber (maybe you’ve been in sales, customer service, or admin, and feel ready to channel your experience into something more rewarding)

What’s the job?

You’ll be joining a team that recruits accountancy professionals into the financial services sector — think placing talented accountants into investment firms, asset managers, fintechs, and more.

Don’t worry if you don’t know much about finance yet — full training is provided. What matters more is your attitude, energy, and willingness to learn.

Your day-to-day will include:

  • Sourcing and speaking to high-calibre candidates
  • Supporting senior consultants on roles
  • Building long-term relationships with clients and candidates
  • Learning how the recruitment lifecycle works, from brief to placement

You’ll be joining a well-established team with a strong track record — so you’ll be learning from some of the best in the business.

What do you need to bring?

  • A degree OR 6–18 months’ experience in a commercial role (sales, office support, hospitality, retail etc.)

  • Resilience, curiosity, and a proactive mindset

No previous recruitment experience is needed — just a willingness to learn and get stuck in.
