Group Financial Controller – £100k + Bonus – Nottingham (2 days on-site)

Two days in the office. Thirty-eight days off. A global remit. And a clear path to CFO.

This is a senior group-level role in a fast-growing, private equity-backed business with operations spanning Europe, North America, and Australia. They’re market leaders in their space, growing quickly, and you’ll be stepping into a function that’s stable, well-run, and ready for you to take forward.

The role

You’ll be the driving force behind group financial control, leading a team of four and taking ownership of:

  • Group consolidations across multiple entities and currencies
  • Statutory reporting under IFRS
  • Group audit process and relationships with external auditors
  • Tax compliance and transfer pricing across multiple jurisdictions
  • Treasury, covenants, and cash flow management
  • System improvements in ERP and consolidation tools
  • Supporting M&A integration and onboarding of acquisitions

It’s not firefighting – it’s about maintaining high standards, improving processes, and building the platform for continued growth. You’ll work closely with the CFO, Head of Finance, and FP&A lead, giving you direct exposure to board-level decision-making and succession planning.

What you’ll need:

  • ACA or ACCA qualified with strong IFRS technical skills
  • Hands-on experience in group consolidation (including FX) and statutory reporting for multi-entity, international businesses
  • Confident line manager with a track record of developing teams
  • Experience managing audits, tax compliance, and treasury functions
  • ERP expertise (NetSuite a plus) and process improvement skills
  • M&A integration experience would be ideal
