Location and Travel

The post is anticipated to be home-based, but depending on the location and preference of the successful candidate, it will be possible to work out of one of ARP's offices (currently in Barnsley, Bristol, and Central London). Occasional travel to these offices or to meet external colleagues and team members may be required.

About ARP

The Ambulance Radio Programme (ARP) is an organisation appointed by the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) to provide and upgrade emergency communications for UK ambulance services. With over eighty staff across the country, ARP supports a £460m programme of work to implement innovative technology that enhances patient care and prepares the ambulance service for the Home Office’s Emergency Services Network (ESN).

Role and Responsibilities

  1. Lead and oversee commercial and procurement activities in line with organisational goals.
  2. Develop and implement procurement strategies that are ethical, efficient, and aligned with ARP’s objectives.
  3. Manage relationships with suppliers, partners, and stakeholders.
  4. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  5. Support the delivery of ARP’s technology-based services, including the deployment of new equipment and communication products.
