Working for a sustainability focused organisation that provides essential services to businesses across multiple sectors and sizes (from SME's to large corporates), the Head of Commercial will drive commercial and operational performance across the business. Following a period of rapid acquisition and integration, the company is entering an exciting new phase of growth, with significant investment in people, systems and commercial excellence.

The Head of Commercial will be responsible for:

  • Developing and executing commercial strategies to deliver revenue, margin and growth targets
  • Leading a team of senior managers covering key account management, sales operations, and data insight, ensuring the sales function is equipped with the right tools, propositions and intelligence to win and grow business
  • Leading and evolving sales operations, data, and insight capabilities to enhance performance across all B2B channels
  • Translating data into actionable strategies — identifying growth sectors, pricing opportunities and market priorities
  • Driving cultural and behavioural change within sales and account management teams — moving from reactive service to proactive, insight-led account growth
  • Collaborating cross-functionally with Marketing, Finance, and Operations to align commercial initiatives and drive a unified go-to-market approach
  • Championing process improvement, CRM and BI tool adoption, and performance reporting
  • Reporting directly into and working closely with C-Level executives

The Head of Commercial will have:

  • Proven senior-level commercial leadership experience within a b2b service; telco or utilities ideally
  • Data driven mindset, adept at translating data into actionable strategies
  • Excellent communication skills, leadership and stakeholder management
  • Demonstrable experience driving transformation and embedding new ways of working
  • Could come from roles like Commercial Director, Head of Propositions, Head of Sales Operations, etc.

The role is based in the West Midlands 2 days a week, but a lot of employees live in different parts of the UK as any travel & accommodation needed is paid for by the company.
