Head of Engineering & Infrastructure - Manchester (Hybrid Remote) - £95k

2-3 days on-site | Greenfield Modernisation Project (PHP) | AI Enablement | Autonomy | Progression to CTO | Flexible Business | LTIP

Responsibilities

• Lead greenfield re-platforming and modernisation of two core SaaS products.
• Spearhead technology design and process implementations with autonomy and clear, measurable goals, backed by the board.
• Drive AI enablement in both the product and development practices to improve efficiency and speed of delivery.
• Establish and track performance metrics to deliver value to the business.
• Collaborate with leadership with potential progression into a CTO role as the business scales.

Requirements

• Notable experience implementing modern technology and practices into a SaaS business as part of a Digital Transformation — microservices, CI/CD, IaC, TDD & automation testing.
• A strong background in either Software Engineering (ideally PHP) or Infrastructure Engineering, with appreciation of the other.
• Knowledge of Cyber Security principles and frameworks (eg. ISO / Cyber Essentials).
• Experience utilising AI as a product feature or a development tool.
• Focus on delivering speed, security, scalability and stability.
