Head of Finance — £80,000 - £85,000 • Remote with travel to multi sites • Permanent

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a commercially focused and strategically minded Head of Finance to join a multi-site UK division of a leading international business. This role offers full responsibility for financial control, commercial insight, strategic support, and leadership of a high-performing finance team. You will act as a trusted Finance Business Partner to the Divisional Managing Director and Leadership Team, driving performance and supporting key decision-making across a fast-paced, high-growth business.

  • Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic & Commercial Finance
    • Partner with senior leadership to drive profitability and operational performance
    • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and monthly reporting processes
    • Deliver high-quality commercial analysis, business insight, and risk/opportunity identification
    • Support business development, pricing strategies, and contractual negotiations
    • Provide financial input on key projects, including M&A activity and integration
  • Financial Control
    • Oversee internal controls, financial processes, and compliance with internal standards (incl. SOX)
    • Lead financial reporting, cash flow management, and balance sheet oversight across all sites
    • Manage audits and implement improvements across systems, controls, and reporting structures
  • Leadership & Team Management
    • Lead, coach, and develop a regional/divisional finance team
    • Align team structure to business goals and embed a culture of continuous improvement
    • Promote collaboration between finance, operations, and commercial teams

Role Requirements

  • Essential:
    • Fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) with 5+ years PQE
    • Proven track record in commercial finance, FP&A, and financial control roles
    • Strong leadership capabilities with experience managing multi-site or divisional teams
    • Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills
    • Strong analytical mindset with a hands-on, "can-do" approach
    • Comfortable working under pressure, with the ability to manage competing priorities
    • Full UK driving licence
  • Desirable:
    • Experience in FMCG, distribution, wholesale, or multi-site operational environments
    • Background in supporting acquisitions and post-deal integration
