Head of People / HR - Birmingham (Hybrid Working Available)

Salary: c 60,000 per Annum + Excellent Company Benefits

Reports to: Senior Leadership Team

Direct Reports: 4 (HR, Training, and Recruitment)

PSR Solutions are delighted to be exclusively partnering with a thriving and forward-thinking Health & Social Care provider in their search for a dynamic, astute and savvy HR leader, to take the reins of their HR function and help shape the people strategy. Reporting directly to the senior leadership team, you'll oversee HR, training, and recruitment.

You'll need to be practical, adaptable, and ready to deal with the unexpected challenges HR faces today, bringing fresh thinking, a commercial mindset, and the confidence to influence at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Drive strategic-level HR policy development while ensuring practical, workable solutions for day-to-day issues
• Lead and develop the HR policies and procedures, training, and recruitment functions to deliver a high-quality service across the business
• Partner with senior leaders to support organisational growth and culture and advise and support managers on a full range of HR issues
• Manage employee relations, performance management, and formal disciplinary processes
• Ensure recruitment strategies attract and retain top talent
• Champion wellbeing, diversity, and inclusion across the organisation

Requirements

• CIPD Level 5 qualification - preferably with a track record in senior HR leadership
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices
• Commercially aware with the ability to balance strategic vision with hands-on problem-solving
• Excellent communicator with strong leadership and team development skills
• Resilient, adaptable, and pragmatic in fast-moving situations
