So . What is this role exactly?
This is an exciting opportunity for a health and safety professional with a sound knowledge of health & safety requirements to join the Occupational Health & Safety Team here at YHG.
It's an exciting time to join the team, and report into and support the Head of Health & Safety as we launch our updated health & safety plan and continue to refresh our health & safety training offer.
We are looking for somebody who has a great understanding of health & safety legislation, who really cares about the health, safety and wellbeing of people, is passionate about what they do and is creative so that they can engage with people to make learning enjoyable.
What will my working week look like?
You will be home-based, ideally living within a reasonable distance of our Head Office in Warrington, where you will deliver the majority of our training and attend meetings.
What will I be responsible for doing?
First and foremost, you will be responsible for the design and delivery of our health & safety training programme in a way that makes it engaging and enjoyable for our colleagues to learn.
You will also be an important part of our health & safety team and will contribute to the development of our health & safety processes and procedures, support internal colleagues with health & safety queries, and act as an advocate of the Health & Safety team.

To be successful as a Health & Safety Trainer here at YHG, you will have .
- A relevant Health & Safety qualification (minimum NEBOSH certificate or equivalent)
- Experience of delivering health & safety training

- Creative and excited to make health & safety learning interesting and enjoyable
- An engaging communicator
