James Andrews are proud to be partnering with a leading not-for-profit employer who are now looking to appoint an HR Advisor on a permanent basis. This will be a full-time position based in Bedfordshire, with hybrid working offered alongside a competitive salary from £36,000 per annum dependent on experience, skills and knowledge.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience of managing high caseloads of employee relations cases, including dealing with complex cases.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Dealing with an ER caseload, including supporting the HR Business Partner on more complex cases
- Providing detailed ER advice to Managers, escalating to HR Business Partners as required
- Producing ER letters for sickness absence reviews, AWOL letters, disciplinary and grievance invites and outcome letters
- Improving, implementing and administrating HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with legislation
- Managing the maternity and paternity processes, supporting colleagues
- Provide project support and assist with the review of policies and procedures
- Building and maintaining effective stakeholder relationships
- Collectively working with the HR team to further enhance, modernise and promote HR processes and maximise HR system functionality for the benefit of all business users
- Supporting wider HR People Strategy projects and engagement initiatives
- Working closely with HR colleagues to build a strong team ethos and high performing team culture
Experience required:
- Able to effectively support employees and managers with standard ER queries whilst checking in with the team for consistency and keeping the HR Manager updated
- Provide advice and support on the interpretation of HR policies and procedures & ensure compliance with employment law
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
- Ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders across the business
- A CIPD qualification or studying for the qualification (desirable)
