HR Advisor

We’re looking for an experienced and proactive HR Advisor to join our team on a 6-month fixed term contract to cover a period of maternity leave. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to our people-first culture, supporting key HR initiatives and day-to-day operations.

This role will be based out of our Head Office at Exchange Quay, Manchester.
What you’ll be doing:
- Ensure Customer Services and Operations line managers are supported with staff issues, providing prompt and accurate advice in accordance with employment law, statutory rules, and company policies and procedures. Provide advice and support in relation to disciplinaries, grievance, performance, capability and sickness issues.
- Identify and support managers and team leaders needing additional guidance with aspects of people management, including delivery of training on HR topics.
- Support the delivery of HR projects, such as Employment Rights Bill changes.
- Support Customer Services and Operations employees through the family leave process (e.g. maternity, paternity etc), managing the HR process.
- Support with general HR practices, such as flexible working requests, DSE, and staff engagement initiatives.
- Support the team with general HR administration tasks,including responding to queries in the HR inbox and maintaining employee records.
- Monitor people data trends and provide proactive solutions.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR processes.
What you’ll bring:
- HR generalist background, including a strong background in employee relations and ideally within a fast-paced environment.
- Have up-to-date knowledge of current employment law and ACAS Codes of Practice.
- A natural communicator who thrives on building relationships and solving problems.
- Possess strongwritten and verbal communication skills.
- Possess effective planning, organisation and time management skills.
- Collaborative team member with a flexible approach, readily supporting colleagues and contributing to wider team objectives as needed.
- A genuine passion for people and a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Educated to Degree level (or equivalent).
- Associate/Graduate Member of CIPD
