In this role, you’ll be supported and connected at every level. Day to day, you’ll partner with our People Lead and have direct guidance from the HR Director, while working closely with our Talent Manager on recruitment and people initiatives. Excitingly, you’ll soon gain operational support from a new HR Assistant / Office Manager who’s joining the team. You’ll also be part of our international HR network, collaborating with HR leads in Poland and Canada, as well as our global teams in Australia and the US. It’s a truly collaborative role with opportunities to share ideas, learn, and make an impact across borders.

What you'll do

  • Be the first point of contact for HR queries, managing requests through our Jira service desk.
  • Coach and advise managers on Employee Relations (ER), performance management, and workforce planning.
  • Oversee day-to-day HR operations, from contracts, onboarding, and exits to HR system updates (BambooHR experience a plus) and payroll coordination with Finance.
  • Keep our HR policies up to date, ensuring compliance with UK employment law and LEAP standards.
  • Track and report on HR metrics to highlight trends and drive improvements.
  • Champion employee engagement initiatives and help deliver internal events
  • Take ownership of key HR projects, including contract and benefits harmonisation and process improvements.
  • Travel: Occasional trips to our UK offices (Glasgow, Nottingham, Cardiff, Manchester), with overnight stays required on occasions.

What you'll bring

  • Proven experience as an HR generalist or adviser, ideally in a multi-site or multi-brand organisation.
  • Strong understanding of UK employment law and HR best practices.
  • Confident in managing ER casework and coaching managers.
  • Highly organised with strong project management skills.
  • Tech-savvy, experienced with HRIS systems and data-driven HR.
  • Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and committed to continuous learning.
  • Event planning and engagement experience is desirable.
  • Ability to gather internal HR metrics and present them in a useful way.
  • Design and deliver management training.
