You’ll lead our operational People Team at Freebridge Community Housing, delivering a modern, proactive people service built on values, insight, and innovation. About Freebridge Community Housing
Our goal is to provide affordable, safe, and quality homes for current and future generations. Freebridge was set up in 2006 to receive the transfer of the Borough Council of King’s Lynn and West Norfolk’s housing stock. We now have over 7,500 properties across west and north Norfolk, in addition to building new homes for social and affordable rent, and to support those who want to move into shared home ownership. We’ve delivered tenants\' promises and brought homes to the Decent Homes Standard, improving our customers’ quality of living. What you’ll be doing
- Leadership: Lead and inspire the People Team to deliver proactive and responsive people services.
- Technology: Drive the use of systems and digital tools to streamline processes and improve data quality.
- Learning Culture: Support organisational learning through modern training and development approaches.
- Performance Management: Embed a culture of feedback and growth through engaging performance processes.
- Data Insight: Use KPIs and demand data to inform strategy and empower leaders with expert guidance.
- Policy Development: Maintain and evolve HR policies and frameworks, ensuring legal compliance and clarity.
- Recruitment & Onboarding: Oversee attraction, onboarding and offboarding to ensure positive experiences.
- Reward & Benefits: Contribute to pay and benefits strategies with research and benchmarking.
- Engagement: Lead colleague engagement initiatives and manage union relationships.
- Continuous Improvement: Monitor HR trends and identify opportunities for innovation and enhancement.
What we’re looking for
- HR Delivery: Experience delivering modern people services including systems implementation and technology solutions.
- Employment Law: Excellent knowledge of legislation, best practice and innovation.
- CIPD Membership: Chartered CIPD status or equivalent experience.
- Strategic Advice: Ability to advise at all levels with practical, in-depth HR knowledge.
- Team Leadership: Experience in leading, managing and motivating teams.
- Strategic Thinking: Understands the broader operating environment.
- Influencing & Coaching: Builds strong relationships and uses a natural coaching style.
- Innovation: Applies continuous improvement and creative problem-solving.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills.
- Risk Management: Identifies and mitigates risks effectively.
- Financial Acumen: Able to set and monitor budgets.
