Overview

HR, Governance and Operations Manager – Charity sector (Public/Not-for-Profit). Permanent, full-time. Location: Chelsea, South West London – Hybrid, 2 days onsite.

Investigo are supporting the Royal Brompton & Harefield Hospitals Charity with the appointment of a newly scoped HR, Governance and Operations Manager.

Responsibilities

  • HR Management
  • Oversee the full employee lifecycle including recruitment, on/offboarding, development, benefits, compliance, payroll, ER advisory and coaching of line management.
  • Drive strategic HR initiatives and projects (e.g., Pay and Reward, EDI, HRIS); work with external vendors and consultants as required.
  • Governance Management
  • Organise board and trustee meetings, scheduling, agenda setting, minute taking, and action planning.
  • Lead on reviews, record keeping, reporting and compliance in line with Charity Commission guidance and GDPR.
  • Lead on Trustee recruitment, induction and training.
  • Operations Management
  • Act as the first point of contact for all operational requirements across two sites.
  • Manage relationships with external suppliers and outsourced IT.
  • Ensure regular policy development across HR, IT and Operations.

Who we’re looking for

We are seeking a seasoned HR professional within the Charity / Not-for-Profit / Public sector with CIPD Level 5 (or substantial qualification by experience). The candidate should proactively lead day-to-day HR matters, independently support and coach line managers on best practice, and continually develop the organisation’s policies and processes across HR, Governance and Operations to support staff and the charity’s ongoing success.

Essential attributes include strong communication (written and verbal), organizational skills, a solution-focused and proactive mindset, the ability to prioritise a varied workload, and comfort working with a high degree of autonomy.
