What You Will Do

The primary purpose of the role is the settlement and collection of Ardonagh Specialty premiums and return premiums to/from both Bureau and Non-Bureau insurance markets. This includes arranging appropriate payments to Non-Bureau insurers, account reconciliation, identifying potential offsets, cash allocation, and resolving queries. The role also involves working with Business Units to resolve queries that prevent release of collected Bureau premiums and the allocation of signings that do not auto-match.

  • Perform reconciliations of Non-Bureau insurers statements received.
  • Follow up on actions and queries from the reconciliation.
  • Arrange payment of payable balances to Non-Bureau insurers and provide documentation to enable reconciliation.
  • Ensure any premium subject to a PPW / PPC is settled in accordance with payment terms.
  • Collect return premiums from Non-Bureau insurers promptly within agreed procedures and timeframes.
  • Identify and action suitable offsets on Non-Bureau ledgers to ensure debtor balances are collected promptly.
  • Settle balances to Bureau insurers in accordance with department procedures and raise queries with the appropriate Business Unit regarding any collected premium or treaty balance that cannot be released.
  • Liaise with insurers, the IBA Client Team and Business Unit to resolve queries on insurer statements.
  • Handle Notices of Cancellations to conclusion including liaison with relevant departments.
  • Contact insurers using various written and verbal methods to obtain necessary information to resolve queries.
  • Keep suitable records of all communications, including updating the GXB query notes.
  • Build and manage relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure the success of the project.
  • Ensure compliance with appropriate group policies and procedures.
  • Work with the Ardonagh Specialty Client Money Manager to ensure compliance with the FCA CASS 5 Client Money Rules.
  • Complete training and assessment exercises as assigned by Compliance and Training Departments.

What You Will Bring

Previous IBA experience is required, together with experience handling Bureau IBA and Reinsurance accounts. Global XB system knowledge is preferable. Ability to influence various stakeholders both internally and externally. IBA experience including Bureau. MS Office skills. Good communication skills – written and verbal. Organized. Presentable. Determined and resilient.
