Base pay range

Starting salary £26,743.64 per annum (pay based on skills and experience).

Hours of Work: 37 hours per week, working between 9am – 5pm, Monday – Friday.

Location: Home based with travel around the London area. Flexible commute may be required; mileage will be reimbursed.

Contract Type: Permanent.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide high‑quality instructed and non‑instructed advocacy according to the needs of the client.
  • Act on behalf of clients at all times, following their instructions and representing their wishes, feelings, beliefs and values consistently with the law, guidance and best practice.
  • Evidence effective, outcome‑focused case management, ensuring all casework demonstrates planning, action and review with relevant recording.
  • Provide high‑quality written reports as part of statutory advocacy roles.
  • Escalate concerns or complaints professionally to relevant public bodies as instructed by clients or otherwise where appropriate.

Independent Advocate Requirements

  • Strong communication and time‑management skills to successfully work remotely.
  • Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and the ability to learn client‑management databases.
  • Attention to detail to ensure accurate recording of records and reporting to meet tight deadlines.

Desirable

  • Previous experience in advocacy, information and advice or a similar role within health, social care or the voluntary sector.
  • Demonstrable experience working with vulnerable adults.
  • Working knowledge of public and voluntary organisations.
