Part‑time (20‑month fixed‑term contract). Home‑based administration. • 28 hours per week. • Face‑to‑face client work within York and up to 25 miles in care homes, hospitals, clients’ homes, etc.

Aim of the Post

To provide an independent and confidential advocacy service to people in York and the surrounding area.

Main Deliverables

  • Provide advocacy services to clients meeting eligibility criteria in line with relevant codes of practice and best practice guidance. This includes a dedicated NHS Complaints Advocacy caseload, Independent Mental Capacity Advocacy, Independent Mental Health Advocacy, Care Act Advocacy, Relevant Person’s Representative, and General Advocacy.
  • Deliver all advocacy streams in a flexible and efficient manner.
  • Manage a fast‑paced caseload and maintain accurate case notes, files and records.
  • Work collaboratively and in partnership with other agencies.
