The Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Infrastructure Engineer to join our team in the UK. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing infrastructure support for CIO Services and will work mainly within our Communications and Collaboration area. This position is internal, not customer facing and involves supporting both project-based and operational efforts.

What will I be doing?

  • Design, implement and support enterprise-grade platforms that enable real-time interaction, email, messaging and user productivity, with a focus on scalability and resilience.
  • Collaborate with team members over various areas of Infrastructure, providing technical guidance and mentoring junior team members.
  • Lead project-based initiatives by assisting in the design, implementation, and managing solutions that meet project requirements
  • Ensure systems are compliant with internal and external regulatory requirements, proactively identifying and addressing gaps.
  • Manage identity and access control ensuring appropriate user permissions and security best practices
  • Monitor and optimise the performance of collaboration tools to ensure high availability and proactively addressing potential issues
  • Resolution of incidents and requests within SLA
  • Support of Major Incidents
  • Develop Automation to streamline processes, drive efficiencies and enable shift-left strategies.
  • Create, update and maintain high quality technical documentation and knowledge base articles for wider team use.
  • Provide weekly activity reporting and operational metrics to management and stakeholders.

What does Leidos need from me?

  • Deep understanding of M365 and related collaboration platforms
  • Knowledge of email security, phishing validation and CSIRT processes
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure problems
  • Understanding of Proofpoint and other security technologies
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Customer focused service delivery with a commitment to continuous improvement and stakeholder satisfaction
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders
