Infrastructure Engineer - Coventry - £66,200

The Company

Lorien are working in partnership with one of the UK's leading organisations, known for their ethical values and inclusive culture. With recent expansion and a growing digital footprint, they're now seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to help shape and support their Windows Server estate across both traditional datacentre and cloud platforms.

The Role

This is a hands-on technical role with strategic influence. You'll be the subject matter expert for Windows Server infrastructure, supporting mission-critical applications and contributing to the development of future-ready systems. The team covers both run and build activities, so whether your strengths lie in troubleshooting, governance, or designing new systems, there's scope to make this role your own.

You'll be working within an ITIL-aligned environment, collaborating with peers and contributing to the organisation's digital transformation.

The Skill Requirements

  • Expert-level experience with multiple versions of Windows Server OS
  • Strategic-level knowledge of Active Directory
  • Strong understanding of Group Policy, DNS, DHCP
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills across Windows-based applications
  • Familiarity with core protocols: TCP/IP, FTP, HTTP(S), SMTP, SSH, Telnet, TLS/SSL, SNMP
  • Experience working within an ITIL framework
