About the role

We have an exciting opportunity within our Distribution Insight team for an Insight Analyst to join us!

As an Insight Analyst, you will craft, design, and maintain data pipelines, Excel reports, macros, and Tableau dashboards.

The Distribution Insight team, part of Distribution & Fulfilment, provides reports and insights to distribution teams, including The Big 6, The Weekly Performance Pack, and Safety. We also support Network Planning with data management and process streamlining.

This role is based at our Daventry Support Office, Northamptonshire NN6 7GY.

Your responsibilities

• Developing new reports and processes as operational needs arise
• Enhancing dependency on TAP and phasing out standalone SQL Server systems
• Supporting existing spreadsheets and macros, ensuring changes do not impact operations
• Providing contingency and backup for departmental systems to prevent data loss
• Assisting Network Planning with data sourcing when needed

Requirements

• Experience with advanced SQL in SQL Server, Hadoop, or Teradata
• Proficiency in Tableau, Excel VBA, pivot tables, and slicers
• Ability to manipulate data and manage data pipelines
• Knowledge of database structures
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to derive insights and create visualisations
• Good communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Ability to plan and prioritize workload
• Attention to detail
