About the roleThe Analytics Team is spread across the Partnership, using advanced analytics to help stakeholders solve problems and make better decisions. As an Insight Manager, Analytics, you will be allocated to a part of the business and be responsible for maximising value from your projects in the supply chain area (including those of your direct reports where applicable). You will accomplish that through the application of your technical expertise, appropriate analytical techniques, effective stakeholder management, clear storytelling, recommendations and timely delivery. This is a specialist, hands-on role and you will be expected to lead several significant analytical projects in your business area. We are looking for Partners who are motivated to solve business problems, with curious and pragmatic mindsets. In addition, we are looking for analysts who not only have extensive technical knowledge, but who also have the ability to apply those skills in a practical and time sensitive way with great communication.At a glanceHybrid working: This is a hybrid working role, therefore your time will primarily be split between working from home and the London/Head Office. However, there will also be an expectation to visit other locations as the need arises. Our team currently works from the office once a week to connect and on a more ad-hoc basis to attend key meetings, but again the frequency is dependent on the business needs.Salary: £59,000 - £75,000 (depending upon experience)Contract type: This position is a permanent role.Key ResponsibilitiesEngage stakeholders to maximise value and improve decision making through your own and your team’s projectsBe responsible for the timely delivery, impact and quality of your team’s outputProactively identify opportunities and champion the use of analytics in your stakeholder areaLead multi-stream projects, managing stakeholders and delivering recommendationsHave a good understanding of your stakeholders’ commercial strategies and goalsDevelop good relationships with stakeholders and become an extension of their teamTriangulate recommendations with other sources e.g. Research and InsightManipulate, analyse, build models and draw conclusions from large data sets to impact decision makingSupport your team to define the right methodologies for projectsEnsure your own and your team’s output is clear and impactful e.g. visualisations, slides, presentationsUse visualisation tools to automate and increase efficiencyPromote a self-serve culture across your stakeholder areaBe an active contributor to the DI&A team and the analytics ProfessionUnderstand and engage other parts of DI&A as necessaryEnsure that all work complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and adhere to all Partnership risk management and data privacy and security policiesInvest in your personal and professional development utilising the opportunities available to youDemonstrate a flexible approach to working, joining projects as needed and/or supporting colleagues to secure the success of those projectsActively share the responsibilities of ownership and support Partners and colleagues to have a voice in our business.Essential Skills / Experience you’ll needRelevant qualification in a numerate discipline e.g. maths/stats/data science/science or similarSignificant experience with SQLSignificant experience with Python / RSignificant experience in an analytics team applying advanced techniquesExperience with visualisation software (Tableau / Power BI)Experience working within Supply Chain analyticsExperience of driving business value from analyticsDesirable Skills / Experience you may haveExperience of managing analysts and building their capabilityExperience of building strong relationships with senior stakeholdersExperience of influencing decision makersExperience of working alongside other Insight teams.Additional informationThe application form consists of a CV upload, followed by application questions.
