The Role

We are entering into an exciting new phase for our work with the construction sector to help the UK to realise its plans for delivering new homes and infrastructure, by scaling the adoption of advanced technologies and approaches to delivery, to help deliver an safe, healthy and sustainable built environment that delivers on the UK's growth mission.

We are looking for a new team member with experience of the construction sector (construction, architecture, engineering or other discipline) with the motivation to develop a career that can drive real change in the sector through innovation. You will work within the Construction and Infrastructure team which is leading on two flagship programmes:

  • The Digital Construction International Programme (DCIP): Digital Construction International Programme (DCIP) - Connected Places Catapult
  • The Infrastructure Industry Innovation Partnership (I3P): i3P - Connected Places Catapult

Following skills are required

  • Qualifications and/or experience working in construction, infrastructure, engineering or related fields in the built environment and a desire to develop their career in this domain
  • Undertake research on innovation domain areas, both desk based and primary research through workshops and stakeholder engagements
  • Report writing and compiling of information to support production of credible, high impact outputs
  • Events support and delivery (e.g. preparation of materials for events, such as i3P roadshows, community of practice workshops and supporting inbound and outbound delegation visits and events as part of the digital construction programme)
  • Secretariat support such as with the i3P delivery and client leadership meetings, Digital Construction Exports Group, i3P talks with series, alongside following up on meeting actions
  • Management and curation of content such as case studies, marketing materials and other content through our programme channels (e.g. the i3P platform, Global BIM Information Collection and CPC website)

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to bids and proposals.
  • Ensure CRM system is updated and data is provided as requested.
  • Undertake research related to opportunities.
  • Coordinate inputs required for internal stakeholder meetings.
  • Provide high quality project and colleague support.
  • Adhere to project plans and project management process.
  • Proactively identify gaps in data and data availability.
  • Individual contributor/project support.
  • Provide insights and data to support stakeholder activity.
  • Collaborate with record owners to ensure accuracy.
  • Maintain own professional development.
  • Complete required professional/qualification as required (apprentice population).
  • Ensure an ethos of equity, inclusivity and diversity underpin your work activity, contribute to inclusive innovation across all Catapult activities.
  • You may be required to undertake any other reasonable duties to support the Catapult in achieving its strategic outcomes and ensure effective business operations.
