Overview

Our client is seeking a Junior Application Developer to join their expanding Information Services team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on technologies that directly support frontline services, digital investigations, control room systems, and data-driven decision-making.

The successful candidate will gain experience across the full development stack, working with the latest Microsoft technologies, while contributing to applications that make a real-world impact.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with senior developers and stakeholders to design, develop, and deploy applications (web, mobile, desktop, integration services)
  • Work across front-end and back-end technologies to deliver scalable, enterprise-grade solutions
  • Build APIs, integrate with databases, and support cloud-based development projects
  • Participate in code reviews, agile ceremonies, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Engage in ongoing learning, knowledge sharing, and innovation within the team

Requirements

  • Knowledge of C#, ASP.NET Core, Entity Framework, and SQL Server
  • Familiarity with Azure services, DevOps pipelines, and Git version control
  • Understanding of clean coding practices, performance, and usability standards
  • A proactive approach, eagerness to learn, and collaborative mindset
  • Salary: £37,692 per year
