Junior Test Engineer

A fantastic opportunity for a Junior Test Engineer to work on a range of software testing for an industry-leading company that support systems and data for governments and major organisations globally.

Offering highly interesting work and very flexible hybrid working, this role ideally suits a Graduate or Junior Tester who has good exposure to testing code, a strong problem-solving mentality and the ability to grasp complex systems and concepts.

Location: Leicestershire - 2 days a week in office

Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum plus excellent benefits

Requirements for Junior Test Engineer

• Minimum of a 2.2 honours degree in a relevant subject with a high Computer Science content i.e. Mathematics, Physics, Engineering
• It is essential that you understand how to follow a documented process
• You must have excellent attention to detail
• Knowledge or experience of automated testing tools (such as SpecFlow, Test Complete or similar) or Manual Testing experience
• Any of the following would also be desirable: execution of test scripts, understanding of Agile concepts, ISO 9001 knowledge, used tools such as (SVN, Jira, Jenkins, etc.), XML, SQL, BDD, or used mobile technology before

Responsibilities for Junior Test Engineer

• Use a range of tools and technologies to ensure quality across all software
• Apply automated testing to increase efficiency
• Create bug reports
• Report on progress and contribute to documentation
• Participate in retrospectives to ensure improvements
