Lead Credit Analyst - Waterloo, London (Hybrid)

Reports to: Product Strategy Manager

A rapidly growing credit, analytics, and technology business in London is seeking a Lead Credit Analyst. This role is suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced, scale-up environment and enjoys working across credit, data, and strategy to deliver impact.

Responsibilities

  • As Lead Credit Analyst, you will be at the heart of the credit strategy, directly influencing product performance and company growth. You will:
  • Credit Policy & Pricing - Build and optimise financial models to guide credit policy and pricing decisions
  • Forecasting & Monitoring - Enhance forecasting techniques, monitor portfolio performance, and analyse funnel metrics
  • Market & Competitor Insight - Stay ahead of borrower behaviour, economic trends, competitor activity, and regulatory shifts
  • Cross-functional Problem Solving - Work closely with data science, commercial teams, and senior leadership to solve complex challenges and design scalable solutions

This is a highly visible role, with direct exposure to C-level leaders and product P&L.

What’s Required

  • Experience
  • Background in credit analysis for personal loans, credit cards, or other unsecured lending
  • Proven track record of working with credit algorithms, policy design, and performance analysis
  • Skills
  • Advanced financial modelling & valuations
  • Strong coding/data capability (SQL / Python / SAS)
  • Deep understanding of lending economics and risk-return dynamics
  • Attributes

  • Comfortable rolling up your sleeves and digging into the detail
