Responsibilities

Credit policy and pricing strategy – maintain best-in-class analytics:

· Define optimal credit policy and pricing, using a proprietary financial model

· Oversee implementation of credit strategy changes

Forecasting and monitoring – continuously improve:

· Refine methodologies for forecasting loan performance

· Monitor conversion funnel and credit metrics vs projections

Economic and industry intelligence – always stay ahead:

· Note trends in macroeconomic environment and borrower behaviour

· Assess moves by competitors and changes in the lending landscape

Candidate profile Credentials:

· Degree with a quantitative component or relevant commercial experience

· Analytical experience in personal loans, credit cards, or a similar unsecured lending product

Knowledge and skills:

· Financial modelling / valuations: you know what NPV and IRR stand for

· Good (and willing to get better) at Excel

· Credit knowledge: deep, intuitive understanding of lending product economics

· Can independently query and wrangle datasets with SQL, Python, or SAS

· Pragmatic, strong judgement and business sense: need to balance the analysis with getting things done and prioritise what is important
