Overview
The Lead Nurse is responsible for ensuring the quality of care and safety of our clients and carers. Reporting to the Head of Clinical Services and working closely with fellow Lead Nurses and Regional Care Manager, the Lead Nurse will lead and support the Nurse Case Managers within the region to ensure all care is safe and quality driven. The Lead Nurse will hold a small caseload whilst supporting the growth of the business with the assessing and onboarding of new clients and delivering clinical training when required. You will be expected to work 3 days in our Wimbledon office and 2 days out in the community. You will need to have Trachy/Vent and/or Spinal experience.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support the Nurse Case Managers within the region to ensure care is safe and quality driven.
- Hold a small caseload while supporting growth of the business through client assessment and onboarding and delivering clinical training when required.
- Work 3 days in Wimbledon office and 2 days in the community.
- Engage in regional service delivery, quality, and governance activities.
- Ensure onboarding processes for new clients meet operational, clinical, and financial contract parameters.
- Attend the HFH Virtual Care Round (VCR) review for all clients within the region at least once a month and address issues as needed.
- Ensure actions from Virtual Care Round are followed through.
- Support and coach Nurse Case Managers in investigating and addressing issues to reduce formal escalation where possible.
- Escalate and intervene when situations cannot be resolved by Nurse Case Managers, in conjunction with the Regional Care Manager where appropriate.
- Assist with reviewing clinical policies and procedures and ensure all clinical SOPs are implemented and followed.

Qualifications and Requirements
- Nurse with leadership/senior experience or seeking leadership development
- Trachy/Vent and/or Spinal experience required
