Overview
Are you a creative and hands-on Learning and Development Advisor ready to take ownership of the full learning cycle? This is your chance to design and deliver impactful training that truly makes a difference.
We’re looking for a Learning and Development Advisor to join our People & Culture team at our single-site law firm. This is a fantastic opportunity to design and deliver bespoke training programmes that make a real difference—no off-the-shelf content here. You’ll work closely with legal and business services teams to build capability, support career development, and foster a culture of continuous learning.
As the Learning and Development Advisor, you’ll play a key role in shaping meaningful learning experiences from the ground up—working in a collaborative, hands-on environment where you’ll own the full learning cycle, from identifying needs to designing and delivering impactful training.
As the Learning and Development Advisor, you will:
- Design, deliver and evaluate soft skills training for colleagues across the firm.
- Consult with stakeholders to identify learning needs and align solutions with business goals.
- Coach and support colleagues to enhance performance and retention.
- Manage the full learning cycle, including admin tasks like enrolments, tracking completions, and reporting.
- Oversee the LMS (Learning Management System), ensuring content is up-to-date, accessible, and effectively tracked.
- Support firm-wide initiatives, events, and compliance training in collaboration with Risk & Compliance.
- Proven experience in a Learning and Development role, ideally within professional services or a corporate setting.
- Strong facilitation and communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
- Experience designing and delivering learning in various formats (in-person, virtual, digital).
- Organised, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple priorities.
- Experience with LMS administration is a plus.
- A collaborative mindset and a willingness to roll up your sleeves in a small, dynamic team.
- Salary reflective of your experience, circa. £ 28,000 - £32,000.
- Earn up to 10% of your salary with our annual bonus scheme.
- Minimum of 25 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays per year increasing to 31 days with length of service, with the opportunity to buy/sell up to 5 days holiday per year.
- Auto enrolled into the workplace pension scheme, and we'll contribute a minimum of 6% of your salary.
- 4x your annual salary in the event of a death in service.
- Hybrid working with 40-60% of your time spent in the office.
Interview process:
The first stage will be a virtual interview via Microsoft Teams with our Learning and Development Business Partner. If successful, you’ll be invited to a second-stage, in-person interview, which will include a competency-based discussion and a short presentation. You’ll receive the presentation brief in advance, allowing time to prepare at home.
Company Values

They provide direction and purpose by influencing the decisions that we make and the actions that we take. It’s really important that all candidates and employees demonstrate these values in their day-to-day activities:
- Embrace the fact everyone is different and unique.
- You can be serious without wearing a suit.
- Never lose sight of the bigger picture.
- Two heads are better than one.
- Take the bull by the horns.
- We win & lose together.
We take great pride in being a Disability Confident Employer. If you need any reasonable adjustments throughout the recruitment process, please don't hesitate to ask.
